Chay LeUnes Biography
I am the proud father of three children – two boys and one daughter. I grew up the son of teachers who were great role models and define who I am today. I have four sisters and a brother who I cherish. I attended Texas A&M and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish in 1989. I then attended St. Mary’s Law School in San Antonio, Texas where I obtained my Doctor of Jurisprudence (law degree) in 1993.
The great majority of my career has been focused in the areas of real estate and personal injury law. I started my legal career back home in College Station in a small firm where I handled real estate transactions, personal injury cases and a variety of other matters. I then moved to Austin with my wife and continued my career at the Attorney General’s Office under current Senator John Cornyn, When our family started growing, we needed more income than a government salary provided so we moved to Houston where I joined one of the most prominent insurance defense firms in the area. I spent many years defending personal injury cases as well as handling real estate transactions. In 2010, after gaining years of experience, I left the law firm and started my own business in Cypress, Texas focusing on real estate and personal injury. Having my office only minutes from my home has allowed me to spend more time focusing on my clients and giving more personalized attention.
My credentials include memberships, admissions or affiliations with the following:
- State Bar of Texas
- Houston Bar Association
- The College of the State Bar of Texas
- United States District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of Texas
- National, Texas and Houston Associations of Realtors
I am also a certified mediator. I am best suited to mediate personal injury, civil and real estate disputes. I also volunteer my time mediating disputes for the Harris County Dispute Resolution Center.
